Honmono no Sensō-ki is about an adventure of the Hirasawa Brothers (coincidentally or not, just like the mario brothers) who recieved a mission to protect their battle field from the invasors or shinryaku-sha, and then achieve the nomenclature of Sensou Kikai, the highest rank in Neo-Tokyo 4, their homeland.
the story (if it really has a story) takes place in 2086, after a fateful nuclear war that wiped out more than half of the entire world's population, the people of that world who live in small villages in a dystopian cyberpunk world, go through a rigorous combat training to defend against future attacks.

The small town of Neo-Tokyo 4 is where the largest number of soldiers reside, among them the Hirasawa brothers, Kin Hirasawa and Usagi Hirasawa.

Kin Hirasawa, 29 years old, is a fighter with a special martial art technique that consists of using his feet and head, an analogy to a mantra that his trainer Mr. Fu always recites: "a mind at peace opens doors to an unexplored world".
Usagi Hirasawa, also 29 years old, has more skills in dodging, defending and raising his body to superhuman heights, very few people who crossed the paths of the Hirasawa brothers came out alive.
besides Mr. Fu, also has the presence of Shirley, a foreigner who suffered from the consequences of the war and started to command the village. Kin and Usagi aim to complete their training to acquire the nomenclature and their skills are put to the test when unknown beings end up destroying the village and those responsible for ending this are the Hirasawa brothers, Mr. Fu warns the two not to have mercy and to finish them off immediately, the invaders' plan is secret and their intentions are mysterious, but the brothers discover soon that the objective of these creatures is to resurrect Gashadokuro, a giant skeleton of Japanese folklore to contribute to the spread of total destruction not only in Neo-Tokyo 4 but in the rest of the world

the invaders are numerous, the most peculiar are the face shooters, creatures that contribute to the stigma of consumerism in society, and Jin a flying cat that shoots red hedgehogs with extremely dangerous spikes.

In addition to the enemies on this journey, the brothers are also gifted with powers that will help them in battle, such as the orb of God that whoever picks it up gets the ability to double in size, the energy squirrel which gives invencibility and the shinny praying ninja, which gives the ability to shoot fireballs. (yeah that's basically mario, I know)
although the powers are beneficial there is also the dangerous orb of death, whoever touches it will die instantly, you need to be very careful because in this universe there are several traps, with extremely challenging levels and different fields to explore, will you manage to get out alive? this war is only for the strongest, may the best win.

---------------------------------------------The Project Itself---------------------------------------------------

I started with the project in February 2020 and it was supposed to be finished in a month, but due to certain circumstances, the original file was lost for 3 years, luckily I was able to recover the original file and complete the rest of the modifications.
the idea was to look more like a badly translated bootleg game with a badass protagonist about wars, fights, etc. A very crazy story with some tones of humor.
I hope you like it, maybe one of these days I'll still come back, but the future remains uncertain
