I ask that you please read this entire readme, as it contains important information as well as credits to the original creator.

Patching Instructions:
Patch to a US Pokemon Ruby v1.1 ROM using FLIPS or Rom Patcher JS.

Gameplay Instructions:
On Route 102 near Oldale Town, the Eon Flute can be picked up. If you already picked up the Potion on Route 102 on your save file, then it will not appear, as I just replaced the item with an Eon Flute. Upon using it, you will begin soaring. You can fly to any town or route, including ones you have not visited yet. Some routes have been changed a bit to accomodate the ability to fly to them. I reccomend you avoid water routes until you get Surf, as it is difficult to traverse them without it. However, on most of them you will land on the water regardless of if you have a Pokemon with Surf.

There are a few problems with it though, mainly that the Eon Flute can only be obtained using a GameShark code which replaces a key item in the player's bag, and many of the route fly locations were out of bounds. This patch intends to improve upon the original soaring mod, making the Eon Flute available early in the game as well as fixing the problems with the routes. The default fly locations seem to be unchangable, at least with my knowledge of ROM hacking, so I had to make some changes to these routes. Most of them are fairly minor changes, but for maps that put you in a very strange place I had to make some more changes. Bugs:
- The fly position at Route 110 looks awful due to having an awkward placing. I had some trouble moving the Cycling Road borders.
- Flying to Mt. Chimney sends you to Petalburg City, and flying to the Battle Frontier sends you to your house. These problems seem to be present in the original mod, and I cannot fix them.
