Sonic 1 Alt is a layout hack of Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Mega Drive. It is notable for sporting barely any ASM edits, with the main focus being on the level layouts. Initial response to the new layouts was positive.

*All new layouts for every Act, along with all special stages.
*Speed cap removed from the air and ground, allowing Sonic to move faster than in Sonic 1.
*Sonic 1's spike damage behavior is left intact, due to it being a unique feature of that game.
