Tools used: FCEUX for on-the-fly editing and verification, XVI32 for effecting the changes, LunarIPS for extracting the IPS from the hacked ROM.

This hack for Crystalis (NES) resolves the questionable grammar and spelling choices featured in the original game, not limited to correcting the broken English of the inkeepers, and the Queen of Portoa's propensity for swapping commas and apostrophes. All existing save files and save states will work with this hack, as no addresses in the ROM were changed. Due to hard-coded addressing, certain corrections could not be made, such fixing Asena and Kensu's names (Athena, Kensou), or lengthening statements and item names. This is not a "localization", and no memes or other easily-dated content have been added. This is my first ROMhack.

How to use this hack:
I recommend copying the original Crystalis ROM to a new location, or to a new filename in the same location, and using LunarIPS to bind the hack IPS file to the ROM.
