CHOZO BROS. 1+2 ReadMe!

This is a full graphics hack that give Mario Bros. (Classic Serie) a more Metroid-like flavour. It was created in celebration of Metroid's 35th anniversary. Rather than being just a lazy gfx swap, many elements were either created or heavily edited specifically for this hack. The player characters, for example, are completely redrawn. There's also a new title screen and several text modifications to better fit the theme.

{[ CHOZO BROS. 1 ]}

Play as Samus Aran, famed galactic bounty hunter in her Chozo Power Suit! In two-player mode, the second character is Dark Samus.

Shellcreeper: Metroid
Sidestepper: Holtz
Fighter Fly: Dessgeega
Slipice: Waver
Fireball: Multiviola
Icicle: Bubbles

When foes are defeated, statues will spit out Morph Balls. Grab them for bonus points.

Play as Zero Suit Samus in her Zero Mission blue suit. The classic 'Justin Bailey' colours are available to the second player.

Fireball: Rinka
Icicle: Spikes (Unused)

Missiles are dispensed after you beat baddies. Collect them for more points.

Please note that this hack is for the special edition Mario Bros. (Classic Serie) from 1993 that was only released in Europe. For this reason, the game will only run at the correct speed on PAL systems. 
FCEUX will play in PAL automatically if '(Europe)' is in the file name. 
For an added challenge, play on a non-PAL system. But beware, everything will be a little faster!
