Produced by key personnel from the Mega Man series, DuckTales sold over a million copies worldwide on each system, becoming Capcom's best-selling title for both platforms. The ROMhack: Graphics and ROMhacking by Garrett Gilchrist [tygerbug] Additional ROMhacking fixes by Proveaux Special thanks to Armagon This ROMhack makes Della Duck playable in place of Scrooge McDuck, in the 1989 NES Ducktales video game. Character graphics have been redrawn, with a new title screen and ending screen. Some text has also been rewritten, with a new font, and sprite construction tweaked. This is an IPS patch which you can apply to a ROM of the Ducktales game. HDPacks are also provided for the emulator Mesen. These replace the graphics with PNGs which provide more colors than the NES is capable of. This is the best-looking way to play this hack. There is also a second HDPack which allows you to play as Della in Ducktales 2 (1993). Move these folders into your Mesen HDPacks directory. Mother to Huey, Dewey and Louie, Della Duck was played by Paget Brewster in the 2017 Ducktales series. She had been a minor implied character in previous versions. Della once went on adventures with her brother Donald and her uncle Scrooge McDuck (the richest duck in the world). She has been trapped on the Moon for many years (as long as the boys have been alive). She survives on oxygenated gum. Losing a leg, she replaces it with an artificial one. She discovers a race of people on the Moon, and gets back to earth just in time to fight off an invasion, and reconnect with her family. She can be reckless to a fault, but nothing can stop Della Duck!
