If you've always had a special vendetta against Seiken Densetsu 3/Trials of Mana's distinctive drum sounds, then here is a hack that does absolutely nothing but replace a few of them. The snare has been completely replaced with an edited version of the "Ouch Snare" sample from the Roland R-8, the source of the snare used in Secret of Mana. The kick has been replaced with FL Studio's "Grv Kick 28", with some of the original kick mixed in since the same sample is used for different (non-kick) purposes in some songs. Similarly, the snare's reverb sample in "Left-Handed Wolf" has been changed to match the new snare sample, but some of the original sample is still mixed in since the same sample is used for different purposes in other songs. Finally, the tambourine sample has been treble boosted slightly to better compliment the snare. Unfortunately these changes are slightly detrimental to some songs, with "The Sacrifice, Part Two" probably sounding most noticeably worse. The readme contains a full list of songs that are improved or worsened by these changes. This patch has not been tested with any other hacks, so stack at your own risk, but since this all this hack does is replace a little bit of sample data, it should hypothetically work with most hacks when applied first.
