Mystic Quest HardType 2.0 Mystic Quest Reborn 2.0 First Public Release (June 15th 2012) Updated Last (August 30th 2012) This is a challenge mod for Mystic Quest that is in 2 flavors. The first flavor (HardType) will include everything except for the new/remixed music and item/character/enemy names, while the second flavor (Reborn) will include everything. I will do it that way simply to please the purists and the people who like the new content. I spent the better part of 3 years--well took a year off during--on balancing the strategy and tweaking the game's challenge for enjoyment and longevity. I also spent this time coding the Mystic Quet Multi Editor (MQME) along with it. :D SUGGESTION: Start with a clean fresh game with no SRAM (.srm) file to reduce the chance of bugs due to the way this game stores character information in the RAM. KNOWN BUGS: -The defense bug is still present and shouldn't be abused when playing this mod as this would ruin the whole point of a challenge mod. -Mount Gale and Pazuzu's Tower have an interesting music bug. The area music and battle music go a bit wonky with the snare drum and one of the other instruments. This doesn't mean the song is bugged. FIXED BUGS: -Exit was somehow removed from the game, now it has been added. Thanks to Lotex for finding this bug! NOTE: You will most certainly need version 1.0 of the US ROM file for this patch and this ROM cannot have a header. None of the other ROM file versions fROM any other releases are supported.
