Dreamcast Advanced Daisenryaku 2001 - v0.95 Patch November 23, 2010 By Nebelwurfer HQ This patch translates all the remaining Scenarios from the Campaign and Scenario Modes. All 112 Game Scenarios are now translated. Remaining Tasks: The game is playable as it is, but there are a few minor annoyances that could be tweaked. I may address these at some point in 2011, but I wouldn't hold my breath. There are too many other games out there that need translating like Standard Daisenryaku: Lost Victory on the PS2. 1. There are several error messages that are displayed when you attempt to select a command that is disabled, etc. 2. The faction names and Scenario names are still in Japanese. I know where the text is stored, but when I change it the game no longer loads. This is probably the only change that would justify a new patch if I can ever figure it out. 3. Translate the Help Topics used in Scenario Editor Mode. 4. Translate the Advice that the staff gives you. Those who are interested in a quick summary of what this game is all about can view the following link, which includes a lot of game screenshots as well as the game rules. At the very end is a collection of weapons that I have found useful in the early game period. http://www.knology.net/~mackdraper/DC_AD2001/Manual/DC_AD2001_Manual.htm Nebelwurfer --------------------------------------------------------------- Dreamcast Advanced Daisenryaku 2001 - v0.80 Patch June 14, 2010 By Nebelwurfer HQ This patch translates the Menus used in Scenario Mode and the Scenario Editor. The Scenario Mode has a feature that I was previously unaware of. It supports a password protected Play by Mail mode. Remaining Tasks: Translate the remaining 25 campaign scenarios from 1943-1945 on the Eastern Front, Western Front, and Italian Front. These are the scenarios where Germany is mostly on the defensive up until their final collapse. Optional: (I may be burned out before I get to these) Translate the 9 scenarios that are only available in Scenario Mode. Translate the Help Topics used in Scenario Editor Mode. ------------------------------------------------------------- Dreamcast Advanced Daisenryaku 2001 - v0.70 Patch May 19, 2010 By Nebelwurfer HQ All the Dialog Screens that contained Japanese text as part of the background image have been translated. All of the scenarios in the Alternate History and American Front sections of the Campaign have been translated. This brings the count to 78 out of 103 campaign scenarios translated. This should make the game playable. There is still some untranslated Japanese text that appears in the game. Mostly these are error messages that appear when you do something wrong. All the scenarios needed to play the campaign to a successful conclusion are now translated. This covers almost half the scenarios in the game. See the Scenario List page for a complete description of which scenarios in the campaign have been translated to date. It also translates the Menus, Country names, General names, and Weapon names. Most Warning messages and Staff hints are also translated. I haven't been able to figure out how to modify the graphics on the various dialog screens yet. I am working on providing some screenshots with translated dialog screens to use for reference while playing the game. Using the Patch File In order to use this patch, you will need the Dreamcast Advanced Daisenryaku 2001 .cdi file. The patch file will only work with hlg-aw21.cdi (805,016,703 bytes). It is available at several places for downloading on the NET. Extract the files from the zip archive, then run the Neb_Unpacker.exe program. Specify hlg-aw21.cdi as the file to be patched and hlg-aw21_vXX.NEB as the Neb patch file. When the patch is applied, a new hlg-aw21_patch.cdi file will be created that includes all the Translation work for this game that I have completed to date. Use NULL DC or your emulator of choice to run this patched file. Contact Info: Follow the Dreamcast AD 2001 translation effort at http://www.knology.net/~mackdraper/DC_AD2001/Overview.htm
