========================Dirty Pair===================== =======================Project EDEN==================== ==========================V1.01======================== Genre: Action Source language: Japanese Platform: Famicom Disk System Patch language: English Author: Pennywise E-mail: yojimbogarrett@gmail.com http://yojimbo.eludevisibility.org/ ====================================================== About Dirty Pair ====================================================== Background: Way back in the late 90's an individual known as Ballz did an English translation patch for this game. However, the translation was incomplete due to several endings that were not known to have existed thus needing no hacking and translating. Over 10 years later I step in to finish the game. Mostly standard procedure on my part as the game was relatively easy to do and not a lot of text to worry about. It's probably not the worst game I've ever done, but it's a sorry excuse for a game that's supposed to be based on the classic anime series. Even more unfortunate is that it's the only game based on the series. Anyhow the game has almost nothing to do with Project EDEN, a Dirty Pair movie, and even though it consists of just 4 stages, it's repetitive and boring. The movie on the other hand is actually very good and would've made for one kick ass game on a newer and more advanced system like the PC Engine or SNES. So, I recommend watching the anime series instead of playing this game. Oddly enough the game seems to be a rip off of Layla. Thus making it a badly done rip off of a Dirty Pair rip off. One thing of note is that I did not bother to test this patch other than to make sure I didn't mess up the any of the endings or intro with savestates. As far as I know it should be fine, but you never know especially for those brave enough to tempt fate. ====================================================== Version History ====================================================== V 1.0 - initial releases V 1.01 - typo fix ====================================================== Game Tips ====================================================== The game has a total of 5 different endings and what ending you get depends on your shooting accuracy. The game divides the numbers of enemies hit with your bullets by the number of bullets fired. So the ending you get is ultimately determined by a threshold percentange starting at 50% and going down. ====================================================== Patching Instructions ====================================================== The patch is in BPS or xdelta format. https://www.romhacking.net/patch/ The patch needs to be applied to a disk image without the 10 byte FDS header. If your FDS game has a header, it needs to be deleted and can be done so with a hex editor. Dirty Pair - Project Eden (Japan).fds We would be highly grateful, if you find some time to contact us with proposals or corrections. Information on found bugs or corrections would be highly appreciated. P.S. Support the game industry by buying used games! Even if the money doesn't go to the developers directly, as the games become rare and harder to find, the price goes up, and people become more inclined to buy new releases "while they can!" ====================================================== Credits go to: Pennywise - hacking, testing DarknessSavior - translation sin_batsu - title screen design Pluvius - ending information All those who contributed into this process. ====================================================== Compiled by Pennywise.
