Background: 

First and foremost there is already a translation for
this game that was released about a year ago from the
release of my patch. That said, I had been planning on
using the game to familiarize myself with the GB hardware
and the various debugging tools available for it.
Because my patch has a few things the other patch doesn't,
an english title screen and 4 lines of text per screen,
I feel it adds enough to warrant a release even if it
is slightly redundant. I must also point out that I
used Evolutions and Silenthal's translations as a
base/reference for my translation.

Anyway, this game is perhaps one of the oddest games
I've come across featuring a reference to Raymond
Chandler's famous PI character Philip Marlowe.
The game of course has nothing to do with the character
and universe or noir in general making it quite bizarre
to see.

Game Tips

*If you beat the game on Hard difficulty, you get an
alternate credits sequence featuring the cast names
of all the games characters.

*The game also has a handful of passwords that do
various things. They are:

AUDREY - Unused
ASTAIRE - ?
BERGMAN - ?
SOUND - Enables sound test mode
MCQUEEN - ?
BOGART - ?
DEAN - Bring you to normal ending
MONROE - Bring you to hard ending

Patching Instructions

I've included two patches, IPS and BPS. For BPS,
you need to download byuu's patcher.

Apparently beat has issues working on XP, but I've been
told the third link works on XP.

Apply the patch to the original Japanese version of the
ROM:

Taiyou no Tenshi Marlowe - Ohanabatake ha Dai-Panic (J)

Support the game industry by buying used games!

Even if the money doesn't go to the developers
directly, as the games become rare and harder
to find, the price goes up, and people become
more inclined to buy new releases "while they can!"

Gameplay Instructions
======================================================
Since pretty much everyone will be playing the game
in an emulator, you will notice a constant flashing
during gameplay that is really annoying. I do not
know how it works on other emulators, but on BGB
go to Options -> Graphics and check "Mix Current
and last frame" and the flashing will stop.
So unless you want to have a seizure or something,
do as I have said.
