I. Introduction

Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (released 1990 in the US for Sega Genesis) is a beat'em up games based on the 1988 film Moonwalker starring the pop star. The plot loosely follows the "Smooth Criminal" segment of the film, in which Jackson got into a quest to rescue children that have been kidnapped by the evil Mr. Big. This game incorporates synthesized versions of the musician's songs, such as Beat It, Billie Jean, and many more. (Source: Wikipedia, Sega Retro)


II. Translation Description

This patch contains the Indonesian translation of Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. Some texts (e.g. title screen and ingame) are left untranslated due to those texts in need of graphic hacks or other advanced hack methods.


III. How to Apply the Patch?

1) Please ensure you have the original ROM of the game. The ROM I used is "Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (World) (Rev A)".
2) Use LunarIPS or similar software to apply the patch on the ROM. CAUTION: Ensure to fix checksum after applying the patch or use the autofix checksum function in your emulator.
3) Enjoy the game in Indonesian!

Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (dirilis 1990 di AS untuk konsol Sega Genesis) adalah gim beat'em up yang diadaptasi dari film Moonwalker (1998) yang dibintangi sang raja pop dunia tersebut. Gim ini mengambil plot dari segmen "Smooth Criminal" pada film, di mana Jackson mendapati dirinya dalam sebuah petualangan untuk menyelamatkan anak-anak yang diculik si penjahat, Mr. Big. II. Deskripsi Terjemahan

Patch ini berisi terjemahan bahasa Indonesia untuk gim Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. Beberapa teks (cth: title screen dan ingame) tidak diterjemahkan karena dibutuhkan hacking grafis atau metode hacking lain yang lebih canggih.


III. Cara Mengaplikasikan Patch

1) Sediakan ROM asli gim ini. ROM yang digunakan adalah "Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (World) (Rev A)" yang bekerja baik di regional Jepang maupun AS.
2) Gunakan LunarIPS atau perangkat lunak sejenis untuk mengaplikasikan patch pada ROM asli. PERHATIAN: Pastikan untuk fix checksum setelah mengaplikasikan patch atau gunakan fungsi autofix checksum pada emulator.
3) Selamat bermain gim ini dalam bahasa Indonesia!
