What is this about?
---------------------------------------------
This patch is made for the Japanese version
of the MSX2 version of Metal Gear that is
translated to English. Nothing too fancy or
literal.

Features
---------------------------------------------
-All 155 messages translated.
-Retaining their original names rather than 
using names from MGS3: Subsistence.

How to use
---------------------------------------------
1. Make sure you have a properly dumped 
Japanese  version of the Metal Gear ROM.
2. Download an IPS patch utility. Lunar IPS
is your best bet.
3. Apply the original ROM with the English
translation patch.

Apply it after you apply the English trans-
lation patch.

Changes for the future
---------------------------------------------
-Possibly changing the names in the weapons
and equipment menu screen.
-Retranslating this game in British English
(i.e. "lorry" instead of "truck", "GF"
instead of "1F", etc.)
