======================================================= =====================Final Mission===================== ========================V 1.01========================= Genre: Shooter Source language: Japanese Platform: Famicom Patch language: English Author: Pennywise E-mail: yojimbogarrett@gmail.com http://yojimbo.eludevisibility.org/ ====================================================== About Final Mission ====================================================== Background: This was one of the first translations I ever released and I wasn't quite satisfied with it. So I basically redid the whole thing from scratch. Technically, you could call this an unnecesary update, but I felt compelled to do it for my own sake. This game was released as S.C.A.T. in the US and Action in New York in Europe. Both games are quite a bit different than the original Japanese version. The main difference is that the Japanese version is the much darker and harder version of the game with a different brief story and less unforgiving game. ====================================================== Version History ====================================================== 1.0 - Initial release 1.01 - Expanded ROM and script revisions ====================================================== Patching Instructions ====================================================== The patch is in the BPS format and needs to be applied with byuu's patcher, beat. These are some of the links where you can download it. The patching process is the same as IPS. http://byuu.org/programming/ http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/893/ http://www.smwcentral.net/?p=section&a=details&id=5917 Apparently beat has issues working on XP, but I've been told the third link works on XP. Apply the patch to the original Japanese version of the ROM: Final Mission (J).nes We would be highly grateful, if you find some time to contact us with proposals or corrections. Information on found bugs or corrections would be highly appreciated. P.S. Support the game industry by buying used games! Even if the money doesn't go to the developers directly, as the games become rare and harder to find, the price goes up, and people become more inclined to buy new releases "while they can!" ====================================================== Credits go to: Pennywise - hacking DarthNemesis - translation SteveMartin - translation Ryusui - translation All those who contributed into this process. ====================================================== Compiled by Pennywise.
