===================Jigoku Gokurakumaru=================== ==============The Circle of Heaven and Hell============== =========================V 1.01========================== Genre: Action Source language: Japanese Platform: Famicom Patch language: English Author: Pennywise E-mail: yojimbogarrett@gmail.com http://yojimbo.eludevisibility.org/ ====================================================== About Jigoku Gokurakumaru ====================================================== Background: Jigoku Gokurakumaru was officially released as Kabuki Quantam Fighter, but it was quite different from the original Japanese version. So I decided to translate it. The original game was either a cash-in or loosed inspired by an obscure Japanese movie called Zipangu, I think. The title of the game actually comes from the name of the protaginist there. Anyhow, hacking this game was a lot of work due to the surprising amount of text. It has much more text than your average action game, but in the end was dealt with. I have to shamefully admit that I released a faulty bug fix patch and am now only getting to fixing the minor issue. Better late than never. I wrote an article for this game on Hardcoregaming 101, see that for info on the game. ====================================================== Game Tips ====================================================== There's a second intro that kind of a secret. Press Select at the title screen to access it. ====================================================== Patching Instructions ====================================================== Apply either patch to the Japanese ROM: Jigoku Gokuraku Maru (Japan).nes We would be highly grateful, if you find some time to contact us with proposals or corrections. Information on found bugs or corrections would be highly appreciated. P.S. Support the game industry by buying used games! Even if the money doesn't go to the developers directly, as the games become rare and harder to find, the price goes up, and people become more inclined to buy new releases "while they can!" ====================================================== Credits go to: Pennywise - hacking Paul Jensen - translation Eien ni Hen - intro translation DarknessSavior - translation FlashPV - title screen design All those who contributed into this process. ====================================================== Compiled by Pennywise.
