I asked satsu if he was interested in translating this game. Months later he asked me how big the script was and agreed to translate it, but it took me a long time to dump the script and it wasn't until June/July 2010 that I got everything ready. Unfortunately satsu was busy with work and so I chatted about it with aishsha and he liked the game and said he'd translate it. He was a little busy with work too, but he was able to find the time to translate it. After I finished Jigoku Gokuraku Maru, I focused solely on this game and with the help of ReyVGM, who did extensive playtesting for me, this project was finished. I recently went back to this game to fix a few odds and ends and have also fixed a few original bugs in the original. In the final stage, there is a pit that causes a crash instead of resetting your position. Also the emblems you get after each stage, the fifth one never shows up in the menu for some reason. It does now with this patch. Don't get me wrong, there's still various issues with the game, but now there's just less of them. The game itself is a sort of like a Zelda clone and features nicely detailed graphics and anime-style cutscenes. The story is also told through the use of branching paths. I recently wrote an article on the game for HardcoreGaming101, so please refer to that if you'd like to know more about it. ====================================================== Version History ====================================================== V 1.0 - Initial release V 1.0a - Typo fix patch V 1.01 - Bug fix patch ====================================================== Hints, Tips etc. ====================================================== The game makes use of a branching path system that's based on the order in which you clear all the stages. If certain events are not triggered, you will get a bad ending. The optimal order is as follows: Castle, Ice Temple, Cave, Pyramid, Tower If you enter the Tower before the Cave level, you will get the bad ending. If you enter the Pyramid before the Cave level, you will get an alternate story branch. ====================================================== Patching Instructions ====================================================== The patch is in IPS, BPS and xdelta formats and can be patched a variety of ways. http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/893/ http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/598/ Apply the patch to the Japanese ROM: Grand Master (J).nes ====================================================== Credits ====================================================== Credits go to: Pennywise - hacking, testing aishsha - translation eien ni hen - manual translation Ryusui - additional manual translation Rebecca Hubish - additional manual translation Corey DeFrancesco - english manual design ReyVGM - testing danke - additional testing All those who contributed into this process. ====================================================== Compiled by Pennywise.
