native 1.3.0.5 version also known as “Windows Vista Compatible Edition”

INSTALLATION
In order to install properly this translation patch you need to install the game
( 1.3.0.x or Vista Compatible Edition) and to patch it with the Official 1.3.0.5
update patch that you can find on the Nihon Falcom Website at the following
address:
http://www.falcom.co.jp/ys6/support/s_prg_03.html
1) A clean installation of the game ( if you have the vista compatible edition check
if it is already 1.3.0.5)
2) Update the game with the official Falcom 1.3.0.5 update patch, if you have a
previous 1.3.0.x version
3) NB: It's very important to check that you have also the Directx9 executables
(config_dx9.exe and ys6_win_dx9.exe) Inside the installation folder. Infact we
experienced that if you have the native Vista compatible edition directx9
executables are not installed even if they are on the original dvd.
So if you don' have these two files installed just take your dvd and look for
them inside the folder inside the dvd:
X:\YS6_WIN\release\PROGRAMS\extrawhere "X" is the letter unit of your
cd/dvd drive. Just take the two main executables and copy them inside the
root of Ys VI installation folder, If you don't copy these executables before
applying the patch the installer won't update them and you won't be able to
use the translated directx9 executables.
4) Run the patch installer.
If you did the correct steps and the game is correctly installed
the game will be completely in english language.
The installer will auto-detect the correct game installation folder and it will install
automatically the translation.
Don’t close the program while it’s running.
It’s highly recommended to close all the anti-virus programs while installing the
patch in order to avoid any trouble.
The patch is absolutely virus free so you don’t need your AVP running while installing.
The installer will make a copy of the original files before updating them.
You will find the old files in the folder called “backup” that will be created in the
installation folder.
In order to have the game in Japanese language again simply copy and paste the old
files ( inside the “backup” folder)
overwriting the new ones.
