Special thanks to Vendor (whoever you are) on the Honyaku Subs board for cracking the file formats used to store images. More special thanks to Januschan, programmer of the remarkable tool Beopat, with which I was ableto make the executable patch. IV) Contact info: Typos and formatting errors should be reported on the blog rather than through email to avoid duplicate reports. There shouldn't even be any, with all the playtesting I did :) For particular questions/comments about the translation, email me at the.lone.moogle(at)gmail.com after looking through my comprehensive Translation Notes online. V) Troubleshooting: Below are various problems I've had while running the game, as well as the solutions I've found. Problem: Text gets cut off in message boxes This game requires a Japanese Unicode variable to display its font correctly. To accomplish this a) Run in Japanese using Microsoft AppLocale (must be done every time) b) Open Control Panel>Regional and Language>Administrative and set the variable for Non-Unicode programs to Japanese. (Wording varies by Windows version) Problem: There are weird dots in some spaces in text That is an unfortunate byproduct of rendering ANSI text in the game's text rendering engine, and cannot be fixed. Problem: This game has lots of slowdown Run config.exe and play around with options until you find what works best. The easiest way to gain speed without cutting the framerate is to reduce the size of the backbuffer to 256x256, greatly reducing the drawing time for the numerous framebuffer effects sprinkled liberally throughout the game. Problem: the game crashes when I quit out I know of no way to fix that, but it shouldn't affect gameplay any. Just wait a little after quitting to close the error message.
