Astrocounter of Crescents English Patch v0.9

This is an English language patch for the game Astrocounter of Crescents
(Korean Title: Bulgidung Crescents), developed by Object Square Team at
S&T On-Line and published by Samsung.



Installing the Game:

1. Insert the game CD (and mount in DOSBox, if applicable).

2. Switch to the CD-ROM drive, type BUL and press enter.

3. Type the folder name to install the game and press enter.

4. In the install folder, type BUL and press enter.



Applying the patch:

Apply the Astrocounter_of_Crescents_English_v09.bps using the Beat patcher
directory. The patch has to be applied to a correctly installed, unaltered
version of the game. The patched version of the executable must be renamed
to BUL.EXE, or else the patch won't work properly.


Things to do:

-Staff credits and chronology in the intro sequence are still in Korean.



Known problems:

Unfortunately, DOSBox has a lot of issues with this game that compromise
the experience compared to running on a native DOS machine. These are as
follows:

-The game may crash due to a sound bug in DOSBox 0.74. It works in version
 0.73 and EmuCR's current SVN builds, though.

-The game uses a unique programming technique for smooth scrolling, but in
 DOSBox this doesn't work as intended, resulting in very choppy scrolling.

-The background music keeps skipping and restarting. Mounting an ISO of
 the CD in DOSBox might help a bit, but doesn't entirely remove the
 problem.
