Here is a patch which translates the original Japanese ROM introduction and makes it also more cannon to the series instead of the plain generic one. Also this incorporates the title screen from the US Prototype.

Thanks to FlashPV for getting the title screen to display properly and Jink640 for helping translate the original intro.
